I build hardwood kitchen islands and place casters on them. Most inserts you find online are made of very brittle zinc. These high quality steel inserts are ideal for installing into hardwoods such as ash, maple, mesquite, etc. Unlike zinc inserts, which tend to break during installation, these steel inserts install straight and precisely. They're a little harder to start, but that's not a problem. They have become my favorite insoles compared to others.
