I have an eTrex20. The idea and the mount itself is exactly what I wanted and the price is perfect! The disadvantages are small compared to the advantages. The straps that came with the mount were brittle (probably old or cheap) and broke easily. I had mine from the hardware store and they work much better. Also, no matter how tight you bolt it on, the mount will still rotate a bit around the handlebars if you apply some force - it's just not the same as having a bolted mount. There is a rubber pad on the mount to prevent this, but at least it's not sticky enough for my bike. BUT it holds the GPS nice and tight, and the straps are easy to swap out if needed! You don't have to worry about GPS failure and it is much easier to install/remove this system. and no rusting parts!
