In general I'm quite satisfied with this device. There's that classic feel of playing an emulated game, and I've never played a Pokémon game before it gave me the Gameboy-like experience I wanted. The plastic of this device is comfortable to hold and the transparent buttons are attractive and comfortable. I've used softer directional pads but I have no problem playing with them. Screen brightness and audio volume seem to share a common problem: there's an entire slider, but everything but the bottom one just seems "bright" (or "loud"). Luckily, the volume control can be easily adjusted in the system settings. The user interface may seem a bit confusing at first; For example, pressing the start button takes you to the system settings, and exiting these settings is a little tricky. And one of the unlabeled black buttons usually takes you to the main menu inside the emulator, but not always - it depends on the emulator. But in general, trying different keys will end up getting you what you want, so it's no big deal. Apart from all the emulators, the device also includes a set of "ports" and more ports are available for free. on-line. (Look for OpenDingux OPK files.) I like Hydra Castle Labyrinth so far, and Cave Story is one of them. Obviously, if you want to play newer ported games like Undertale, that's not possible with this device. and you need newer hardware, RG351. But if you prefer SNES, Gameboy, etc., this device is a good choice.
