I have had the same hair straightener for 15 years and went looking for an upgrade in technology. This straightener has surpassed my expectations even for not being one of those name brand (like Chi or something). With my old one I had to go over my hair multiple times to straighten but not with this new one. The multiple heat setting choices are great depending on what I am doing or how quick I need to get ready. I don’t know if it’s the gold looking plates that gives my hair the shine but it looks almost healthier when I’m done straightening and I don’t even use hair protectants. I have never had a knack for curling using a straightener so I can’t comment on it’s usability there. The grip is nice and the texture of the tool it’s self feels good and not some cheap plastic.
