After 5 months of using these lamps I would recommend them for spot lighting in closets, utility rooms and anywhere you need light but cannot easily run on electricity. In another review, someone said they wouldn't use them to light up an entire room. I agree - even if it's a small room. Also as the light spreads out, imagine that they are illuminating the place they are aimed at and you will get really good light in that area. In terms of battery life I've seen a solid 5 months for areas where the light is used 10+ times a day. Day. In areas where the light is used maybe once a day, you get 6+ months before the LED light starts to fade. If you only use the light a few times a week, you'll get more than 12 months out of it.
