My 2006 F-250 SRW short bed truck and 244,000 miles. As a small update/tuning, I decided it was time to replace my old worn out fuel pressure regulator. After reading the reviews and realizing that this is a Ford OEM product I would not be disappointed with the purchase. It has been January 2020 since installation and my fuel pressure is 53psi. At times it would drop to 48-50 psi on throttle. While the fuel pressure is acceptable, ideally I would expect my static fuel pressure to be between 60 and 70. After much deliberation and hesitation in redoing the job, I decided to just replace the spring with my old fuel pressure regulator spring. Everything else remains the same with the Ford OEM product. Sure enough my idle fuel pressure is now back to 71psi and at WOT it's over 60. Overall this product looks like it was well made except the spring was either short or faulty which resulted in my... got the job done. again. Considering the price and the need to do the job a second time, despite all the positive reviews, I would not recommend this product. I would certainly consider a bulletproof diesel product just for the looks, the quality and the fact that they specialize in diesel performance enhancement. There is less chance that the part will be of poor quality.
