If only we could be successful. We have been looking for a new doorbell since I was pregnant with our first child and our dogs go crazy when the doorbell rings. That being said, I was looking for one that would be suitable for a newborn - one where I could turn the sound off completely and keep it at a very low level the rest of the time. I also wanted one with very short and simple sounds that my husband and I could hear but not provoke the dogs. I also wanted it to be wireless just for ease of installation. Cost was also an issue. The price is 5 stars. Can't beat this price. The bonus is that it comes with two receivers as having one in the basement would be great. Easy installation - 5 stars. Pull the battery strap, plug in the receiver, done. Election call - 1 star. Serious? Why do you have over 50 ringtones and NONE of them suit me? I would say 40+ were SONGS (LONG songs) and maybe 5 were "typical" doorbell sounds, but NONE of them were simple, a ring or simply, a buzz. I tried stopping at one but it didn't work for me. I couldn't find anything to even consider. In my opinion impractical for a doorbell. They resembled telephone ringtones more than simple doorbell tones. Very disappointed. Volume selection - 2 stars. Thanks for the suggestion to mute the audio, but all the other 4 options sound about the same - damn loud. Yes, most people want to hear their doorbell. I want to be able to not stall every time it turns off. Maybe I'm a stranger here. If you're worried about not being able to hear it, don't worry. If you want something at DIFFERENT volume levels, this didn't work for me. Even in the quietest conditions, the sound was still too loud for my taste. I made a video going through all the sound options as I would like to hear them before ordering. If it was, I wouldn't have bought this set. I cut off all the tones of the song after a few seconds otherwise it would have ended up being a 10+ minute video. It ended up taking 3 minutes and even cutting everything. I'm not sure if it loads. Unfortunately I will be returning it in hopes of finding something better for my needs.
