Review on 🧼 Cleancult Refillable Glass Laundry Detergent Dispenser, 20 oz – Eco-Friendly, Empty & Reusable Container by Karla Richter

Nice concept, nice bottle, but doesn't work with Cleancult detergent.

I was very excited when I heard about Cleancult, especially their eco-friendly packaging and refillable dispensers like this one. Unfortunately, this Cleancult dispenser was not developed for our own brand of liquid detergents. The biggest problem is that the bottle/dispenser doesn't work well with brand name detergent. The cleanser itself works great, but the consistency is sticky, thick, and a lot less runny than other liquid cleansers I've used. This dispenser that Cleancult developed and sold with their detergent is just a glass bottle with the same spout that you see on most plastic detergent bottles in the store, but that is poor design for a specific Cleancult product. The syrupy texture and consistency of the brand's detergent makes it difficult to pour from the dispenser, and the spout catches and holds large amounts of sticky soap, causing it to drip onto the bottle and everything around it. The lid is designed to measure the correct amount of detergent, but the markings for this are small "ribs" on the inside of the opaque lid, making them almost indistinguishable when pouring and measuring. The lid/cup is also deep and narrower which often results in 1/4-1/3 of the detergent getting stuck in the lid when trying to put it in the machine. I have a special scoop for scooping detergent out of the lid next to my laundry. As I said before, I love Cleancult's focus on eco-friendly cleaning products and packaging and the detergent actually cleans the clothes very well. Despite the aesthetic looks, the dispenser designed for this detergent is very disappointing, poorly designed and a huge waste of money. The mess created by using a nice bottle has nothing to do with that at all. I am giving away a bottle from my mom so I can use it for something else and now I save a lot of time and energy by simply pouring water out of a box and using my own measuring cup.
