Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Bates Tactical Sport Military Coyote: Superior Performance for Tactical Professionals by Brian Buck

Comfortable, light and supportive.

The fit of boots is very subjective, but after years of suffering from everything I could find on the shelf, it "fits". these are the winners. I'm tall and skinny with thin ankles so I need a taller boot to provide more stability on rocky surfaces, but most tall boots are too stiff and heavy for my 175lb frame. I first tried my regular size 12 and it fit me really well, but my toes were touching when climbing steep climbs. Luckily the jump from size 12 to 13 wasn't as big of a jump as with many other boots and I don't slip in them. They require a bit of breaking in for the material to flex at the tip but I wore them all weekend including a quick 10k hike with steep descents. They offer the perfect balance of support and durability while still being relatively light for full ankle coverage boots. Side zips are a must for tall boots, although it would be nice to add a loop so they can be pulled on. Longevity remains to be seen, but so far I'm more than satisfied.
