Great boots. for shoes

I wear boots all day, literally every day. And yes, I even wore them to church. (it drives my wife crazy) I wear them 360 days a year (wife yells at me and forces me to wear sneakers on vacation) but I still take my boots just in case. So I want good, comfortable boots and these fit the bill perfectly. Where I work, we're on our feet all day, standing on concrete, doing mechanical work, earthworks and paving. So, like I said, I want comfort for my feet. They're lightweight so you can walk on…

Pros
  • military and tactical
Cons
  • makes me nervous

Fair price: military and tactical

for the price they are good. I've had 5 couples over the years and not much has changed on their side. For me, several pairs of Danner Tac/Side Zip boots have spoiled me because their comfort is so much better than these Bates despite being at least twice the price. I would buy another pair of Danners but their soles start to creak after about 6 months :(So I bought another pair of these original Bates on my foot. I also had a pair of Bates which are a dial fit and more like sneakers are/ boots

Pros
  • uniform, labor and security
Cons
  • nothing

COMFORTABLE AND AWESOME BOOTS 5/30/19 Update

(I just ordered a second pair on 5/30/19 πŸ‘ I think they lasted about a year as I was running about 20-25 miles a week). I am very satisfied πŸ‘ Always buy Redwing patrol boots at the local store. Customer service is always top notch and these are good boots. Not only have they been forced to outsource in the last decade but they seemed to have less choice for me too. So I will say these boots are excellent not only because they cost less than half the price but also have a roomier toe box as…

Comfortable, light and supportive.

The fit of boots is very subjective, but after years of suffering from everything I could find on the shelf, it "fits". these are the winners. I'm tall and skinny with thin ankles so I need a taller boot to provide more stability on rocky surfaces, but most tall boots are too stiff and heavy for my 175lb frame. I first tried my regular size 12 and it fit me really well, but my toes were touching when climbing steep climbs. Luckily the jump from size 12 to 13 wasn't as big of a jump as with many
