Review on πŸ” LeapFrog Blues Clues Skidoo Into: Interactive Learning Adventure for Kids by Bradley Stewart

Looks like the picture, but we don't like it.

This book may be for older toddlers but my 1 year old may not be interested. The things the book says are annoying and Josh only asks to push buttons every 2 seconds. I personally don't like the words they chose to match the letters. I don't like how much they talk. It's too distracting and stimulating. If you don't press anything for even 1 second, Josh will prompt you to press another key. For example, calm down. I don't like that it's not silent when not in use but is still "on" when that makes sense. Most children's toys fall silent when they're actually still on, and may make a noise to remind them to play later, if at all. This thing works non-stop until you turn it off. This is definitely a toy to use alone in a structured learning moment. I got one for my son's birthday and someone else gave it to him so we have two now and I don't even want one. We also have the rest of this new line of Blue's Clues toys that just came out. None of the toys impress, and they're all a bit disappointing. It was definitely good because it's a mess and I get it I just think it's a bit of an annoying toy and SAFE intended for older kids. I will keep one of them and keep him when he grows up. Maybe it won't seem so annoying as he gets older and interacts with him better? I do not know. It's nice, no question, but. just not for us now.
