Review on 🚽 4-Inch Septic Tank Bristle Filter - SimTech STF-110 - Filter Only by Leah Nelson

Updated to 5 star rating (12/9/2018): It's been over a year and this filter works great! I tested it in May 2018 and again in November 2018 after my initial review and it worked great, no sign of sewage clogging the top of the outlet tee. Cleans as easy as ever. The bristles are in great shape and the stainless steel core shows no signs of corrosion. Now I feel comfortable enough to go six months between checks/cleaning. I would recommend waiting to install just after the system pump. I believe the foam layer caused the initial blockage I noticed at the beginning. Wait a few days for the tank to fill up normally, and then put the filter in place. I highly recommend this product. Bought and installed in early November 2017. I've been very nervous for the past four months. Today (02/25/2018) dug up the access cover to see how it works. I live in the North East and luckily we had a mild winter and the ground is not frozen. The filter was almost clogged, so it's a good thing I decided to check it out. Most alarming was the sediment that had settled on the bristles at the top of the outlet tee. The filter is easy to clean with a garden hose sprayer. I will check again in a month and then update the rating. Conclusion: Everything seems to work well, but should be checked regularly and cleaned if necessary.
