At first I thought the orange double threads near the laces were just a decorative element. Oops, I was wrong! These are actually laces that are glued to the side of the boot where the laces go. So they get pulled and pulled every time my kid ties his shoelaces. Big shock as they broke one by one leaving the shoes in ruins in less than 3 weeks. It was a terrible adidas design. I'm shocked it ever passes quality control. There was no other way to thread the laces until new shoes came along. I ended up having to use a knife to poke holes to thread the laces through what should have been a good start.
