Review on πŸ”₯ High Flow EPA Compliant Catalytic Converter for 2001-2003 Toyota RAV4 Base 2.0L by AUTOSAVER88 by Adam French

Not as good as OEM, but good enough and it works.

I am a professional mechanic and I usually never consider aftermarket catalytic converters for customers due to their poor fit and durability. This was for my personal car, which I only paid a few hundred dollars for, so spending $700 on a factory cat was undesirable. I chose this cat and was very impressed. It comes with both gaskets, new heat shield bolts and new spring bolts. I went with a better quality MLS manifold gasket and spring bolts, but it was nice to have them with me. The heat shields didn't fit very well and had to be sharpened a bit to get the bolts in. I also had to reuse the factory heat shield screws because the ones that came with were too long, sticking out and catching on the cat before tightening. The threads in the O2 holes were good and came with plugs. The cat fitted the car well, although I only reinstalled a bracket underneath. The other mount requires the motor mount to be removed to remove and reinstall, and I wanted to make things easier should that cat fail quickly. It's only been running for a day so far, but O2 data shows it's working as it should. I'll update if/when this cat fails, but for now I'm happy.
