Review on ๐Ÿ” ACDelco GM Original Equipment 580-1094 Rear Air Lift Shock Absorber: Superior Performance and Quality by Corey Krull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good OEM replacement.

Just replaced worn out shock absorbers on my 2010 Yukon XL SLT with these. So far they are working perfectly. At the same time replaced the compressor. A word of caution if you're doing the work yourself. Access to the passenger side upper shock bolt is very difficult. It's doable, but requires a perfectly sized extension and is annoying because the exhaust and brake lines get in the way. You will invent a new language by changing this side when you are in the driveway and not using the elevator. I removed the wheel and used two short extensions and a 21mm socket on one end and a 21mm box on the outside. Also remember that when raising the driver's side frame there is a chance that you will break the sensor connection on the frame rail. I did that and it showed up a few codes like traction control system not working etc. Ran the cable up from the axle and plugged it back in, everything was fine. Drives great, perfect air. These seem good. The passenger side is really a two person test if you're a mechanic like me.
