After reading the reviews I increased the size by 1/2 - from a 9.5 to a 10. I'm glad I did. I used to wear the 4XE at New Balance but the slit in the toe of their new shoes really got in the way of my feet, duck feet, very wide. I need both cushioning and a wide toe box. I have been very disappointed in many brands so in my desperation I paid over a hundred for it. Of course I prefer cheaper shoes, but not if they hurt my feet. In short, it's great. I was concerned that this D width would not be enough, but what a surprise! That! Something on the left leg, but it works. And better than then 4E in NB! So find out. The cushioning in the sole is amazing. And the spring in the toe is really noticeable. I'm a fan - and I didn't expect that.
