My girlfriend loved them as soon as I took them out of the box! They are thin and look pretty cool. We have two - one each of us - to put under the bookshelves above the built-in tables in our gym. The room is lit by a ceiling fan in the center, so it was dark on the table under the bookshelves. They light up the room nicely without being too bright. The flashlight itself has magnets strong enough to hold the light on metal. Since we were attaching them to a tree, we used the metal/double sided tape hardware that came with the kit. It's great that they have some double sided sticky pads already lined up on the tear strips so they fit right onto the metal strip. We simply peeled off one side and glued to a metal sheet, placed the metal sheet on top of the light, peeled off the other strip and glued where we wanted our light. Luckily, you can set it to Always On or Motion Detection. When it's light, we just turn them on. When it's darker outside we switch them to "G" (whatever that means, but it means motion detection) and they turn on when you get close to them and turn off after 20 seconds. My girlfriend loves them so much that she offered me a few more. One goes to the playroom bar and the other doesn't know where to go, but she still wants to! hehe.
