Review on ESUN 1.75mm 3D Printer Filament: Enhanced Quality and Value with 2.2lbs (1kg) Spool by Scott Ward

It used to be great. Something has changed. Fragile and permanent breakage.

I switched to eSun 2 years ago on the advice of a friend. I was blown away by PLA+, especially the "warm white" color which I felt printed best. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, it became difficult to find thread to buy, so I tried a few different brands. Actually everything I could find. When the eSun filament was finally in stock, I ordered 6 rolls. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that something seemed to have changed. It still prints well but 4 out of 6 rolls keep breaking. The attached image shows my 3 CR-10 printers in one morning. The filament breaks randomly on every printer. Not only that, it often breaks in the middle of a print, ruining the print on printers that don't have a sensor. (Note that I am only talking about PLA+. My eSun ABS (which I bought before March) did not have these problems.) I contacted eSun customer service and received nothing. No other thread has ever had this issue with my printers, so I can rule that out. Also, I've used dozens of eSun PLA+ rolls before and they haven't broken. Of the 6 I ordered, I still have 2 unopened rolls. I am debating their return due to the time and plastic I wasted on it. I hope that what happened to this batch will not affect its quality in the future. If so, I will not buy again.
