I bought these because I was looking for a solution to sanitizing my glass milk bottles in boiling water without burning snot or breaking bottles when trying to use tongues. I needed a textured grip glove that I could fold in half so I could dip my hand in boiling water to grip bottles without burning myself. These gloves do it. The first time I used them I put one glove on and the other over and double hold them and they are easy to put on and take off. I feel warm but not burnt. They've held up well for me, but that's about all I use them for. I've never added chemicals or cleaned them so can't vouch for how they hold up but they have great grip and can handle hot water temps.
