I just installed these shock absorbers on the back of my Silverado. They really made the ride stiffer and smoothed out bumps brilliantly. They come with a green plastic strap to hold them firmly in the box. These things are a beast to recompress, so you probably won't be doing it one-handed. What I liked was tucking the shock into the bottom bracket and skipping the bolt. I then hand tightened the nut to hold the bolt in place. In preparation for threading the bolt through the top mount, I removed the green strap from the top of the shock and controlled its angle and decompression rate with one hand. Once the shock was on the top mount, I quickly pushed the bolt through the shock and brace with my free hand. This worked great on both sides, I had to tap the screw on one side with a rubber mallet to push it through completely. Finally, tighten the nuts, cut the packing tape and you're done.
