I've replaced Monroe Sensa-Trak shocks with 50-60k miles on them - no leaks/failures just roughness. I just installed these shock absorbers on the back of my Silverado. They really made the ride stiffer and smoothed out bumps brilliantly. They come with a green plastic strap to hold them firmly in the box. These things are a beast to recompress, so you probably won't be doing it one-handed.
