Excellent article. I have another one that I've been using for a long time and this one is gradually stacking up against it. I used it to check the temperature around my air vents and the Extech thermometer was just as accurate as the infrared thermometer I tested it with. I have a stable reading. Then I went and made something. I don't have a decent way of checking the temperature on my stovetop, and I don't like burning things, so I often use a thermometer. Extech did a great job here. I measured my freezer to be full and the temperature there was fine too. I was able to accurately measure temperatures from 20 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit with the Extech and was pleased with its performance. It has comfortable buttons and I just really like the car. I would have no problem getting this for myself or a friend if they need specific temperatures.
