Poor adhesion good for me

I thought these would be perfect for my music classroom to hold dry erase markers to my pianos. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the surfaces, but the dots would not stay down. I cut the edges on the ones on the markers themselves but they still don't stick well. Good thing they were cheap.
