I've been knitting for a long time, probably 60 years. I have used all types of knitting needles from the cheapest store brands to the expensive top end needles. ChiaoGoo Red Lace circular needles are my favorite. I replace all my other circular knitting needles with the entire ChiaoGoos set, project after project. I like the smooth cable that never kinks. However, it is flexible enough that knitting a magic loop is not difficult. Tips have a tipped tip, meaning they are more pointed and pointed than tipped tips. The finish is smooth. The tips are very sharp but not so sharp that they are painful to use like other lace tips I've used. But their best attribute is the cable. For a round needle, the cable is what makes using it a pleasure or a struggle. ChiaoGoo needles become flexible and straight once taken out of the storage box. Even the highest quality plastic or nylon cords take time and heat to straighten out after storage. And the older they get, the worse they get. And knitting with a needle with a fishing line that wants to stay in a skein is not joy. My only question about ChaioGoo needles is how their cords will hold up over the years. I've been using it for a few years now and still don't see any change. And because of their construction, I'd be very surprised if they changed a lot with age. I'm happy with it! Note. I have not tried any ChaioGoo needles with interchangeable tips so I can only comment on solid needles.
