Review on 🚲 MTB Comp Vuelta Crankset by Ronny Goodman

I suppose I could buy a 120mm or 125mm bottom bracket and the crank would be fine. Crank looks cool and up to date

Bought this connecting rod because it was cheaper than replacing the worn steel rings on my old connecting rod. However, the listing says it will fit the 110mm bottom bracket (which I have), but that's not true. I attached the crank and as soon as I started tightening it to the bottom bracket axle, I noticed that the bottom cog started making contact with the chainstay - a big problem. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the crank flange, where it attaches to the shaft, is recessed about 10mm further than on my current crank. I took the rings off and put them on my old grip - problem solved. I suppose I could buy a 120mm or 125mm bottom bracket and the crank would be fine. The crank looks cool and is otherwise of relative quality and value ($30), but the listing should be amended to reflect the correct bottom bracket size for compatibility.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Everything is fine
