I used this to renovate a beautiful wooden patio bench. It worked. I didn't intend to get a perfect finish but maybe if I keep progressing I could. First I scraped off the old paint and varnish with a metal tool and a stiff wire brush. This is a very portable tool and I bought it for outdoor use. It's better than the old square palm holders that had pins for changing paper or sticking. both were assignments. It's more like Velcro between the device and the sandpaper and is easy to put on and take off. Battery performance is good. I have two batteries that need to be nested. The charger, circuit board, batteries and some sandpaper can be easily transported in the case supplied. I'll get around to it, I'll add a photo of the patio benches, but I've never taken a photo. I used to do well with this brand on the power driver. The battery was changed so I had to buy new batteries again albeit with the same voltage which was a shame.
