I wouldn't call it a precision tool. I bought it to replace the analog scale which wasn't very accurate. What I received was the digital equivalent. For example: when weighing yeast, I came up with 6 grams very quickly. Then it seemed to me that reaching 7 was overkill. As soon as I did that, the scale jumped to 9 grams. I removed the yeast cup I had measured and placed it on the scale. It was written 7 grams. I tapped the dial and it came back to 9. I removed some of the yeast. Then a little more. Then a little more without changes in reading. I removed and replaced the bowl. Let's go back to 6 grams. Annoying.
