This phone holder holds my LG G8 ThinQ with case and "Monet" phone case very well. Even on the terribly bad roads of Louisiana, the cell phone doesn't fall out of the holder. It's mounted on the passenger side of my center console so my phone is next to the shifter. I had to use the included plastic washer as the suction itself didn't stick to the textured plastic of my center console, but that was to be expected. When used on a smooth surface, the suction cup is so good that it actually took a lot of effort to detach it from the plastic disc provided - I ended up using a pocket knife to pry it out! The only problem I had with her. It is an adhesive pad that comes with a plastic disk. After two days it didn't work.
