TO FIND THE REMOTE CONTROL THAT FITS YOUR VEHICLE, SEARCH BY FCC CODE, NOT BY VEHICLE TYPE: I followed the instructions and got the expected lock cycle, but pressing the buttons on the key fob to program it into the car did not get a single cycle (successfully programmed) or double cycle (programming error) response from the car. He couldn't find the key fob at all. I took it to a locksmith but he wouldn't even touch it. I called another one and they charged $75 to program it. LATER: Finally found someone who knew. It doesn't seem to fit my car. As someone told me, "Be sure to match the FCC code on the back of your current remote." I was able to get him to program another car that actually had the correct code.
