A little confusing to connect to my truck but works

This works great for my 2007 Toyota Seqouia, it took me a while to connect to my truck but that's because , instead of getting my locks working after it was plugged in I got a buzzing noise. I actually plugged it in 3 times but didn't know until I gave up and accidentally hit the lock button after getting out of the truck and it worked!

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Lock button does not fit properly

I have tried to program this replacement key fob following the instructions. Once programmed, the security option would not stop locking and unlocking the door (as if the button was constantly being pressed). Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the lock button was stuck under the key housing. Took it apart and noticed that the lock and unlock buttons have a different height profile (the lock is flatter). The lock button is too big for the case window it is supposed to fit in (while theโ€ฆ

Giggle while programming, smile while using!

This key fob does exactly what I need. Opens, unlocks and locks doors. But while I was programming it, I was thrown out of joint. I felt like I was casting some kind of secret spell. Open the door, turn around twice, touch the nose. Just kidding, but it's actually not that different from what was required. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm crazy. As others have said, it takes at least two Programmata spells to get the trinket working, but once those sweet success sounds rang out, I felt soโ€ฆ

Great fit for my 2003 Toyota 4runner at a reasonable price.

The OEM version of this remote from Denso will cost you about $54 before programming. I recently lost one of my key and fob sets for my 2003 Toyota 4runner so I wanted to get another set in case history repeats itself. The FCC code on my remote was HYQ12BAN and the remote I received had a sticker with a different code, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The remote comes with a card to help you find programming guides online. I probably didn't follow the directions exactly the first twoโ€ฆ

Cheap but works!: Remote starter

What I like. cheap and pretty easy. What I do not like. Looks cheap and feels cheap. Looks a lot like a real keyless remote but the texture, finish and plastic are clearly a lot cheaper than the OEM. But it's inexpensive. I bought my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with a key and no remote. I read somewhere that if you don't have a bare bones base model you can buy a remote control and it will work. It does! I watched two YouTube videos on how to program the remote, the first one that came up on googleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • No instructions

ENSURE YOU MATCH FCC CODE

TO FIND THE REMOTE CONTROL THAT FITS YOUR VEHICLE, SEARCH BY FCC CODE, NOT BY VEHICLE TYPE: I followed the instructions and got the expected lock cycle, but pressing the buttons on the key fob to program it into the car did not get a single cycle (successfully programmed) or double cycle (programming error) response from the car. He couldn't find the key fob at all. I took it to a locksmith but he wouldn't even touch it. I called another one and they charged $75 to program it. LATER: Finallyโ€ฆ

Didn't work on first try. I repeated the steps, everything worked!

Probably the first time I did something wrong. It worked on the second try. I have a 2005 4Runner. I followed the instructions below: To enter programming mode, remove the key from the ignition. Unlock all doors. open driver's door. Insert and remove the key in the ignition lock. Insert and remove the key in the ignition lock. Close and open driver's door. Close and open driver's door. Insert the key Switch off the ignition and remove Close and open the door on the driver's side. Close and open

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Something different

The instructions on their website didn't work on my 2005 Sequoia. Tech support said you need to find a locksmith. Eventually I did a quick google search and it worked. There seem to be a lot of them, but they were pretty easy to follow. Free Toyota Sequoia 2005 Keyless Entry Remote Step-by-Step Programming Guide Before using this programming guide, make sure you have this important information on the back of your remote.
