My Vizio remote stopped working after 2 years. So it was a cheap replacement. The remote doesn't open like the original, but you can't ask for everything for this price either. The remote control works well, but only in a few angles. It's an ordeal to find the right angle from which to work, and it takes some effort to get what you want to see. I need a good minute to tune in before I can sit and enjoy. I had no problem putting the batteries in, it took a little more pressure than usual but they went in easily. Overall, the remote is a cheaper alternative to the original and works quite well. Update: I've been using the remote for about a year now. This works very well. Initially, the center table blocked the infrared radiation, but now that there is nothing between the remote control and the TV, the remote control works very well. It doesn't have a blue tooth so it doesn't have a very long range, but for the price it does the job very well. I've dropped the remote about 100 times and it still works perfectly, it's not chipped or damaged. Hence the updated 5 star rating.
