Easy to confuse: lighting and ceiling fans
I have a feeling this product was designed to be easy to confuse. When I received it... it was confused. It took me 2 hours to untie the knots. The cable is flat and difficult to work with. Then when I started to put my Christmas tree on, it got tangled up again. So it's very frustrating and I think I cursed it a few times. It looks great on my tree, but I know it's going to be a nightmare to take off. Maybe I'll cut the damn thing off the tree out of desperation.
