I have a microscope for almost $200 that has a fancier base with more settings but. This microscope is by far the simplest and cheapest microscope. this has a ridiculous increase right out of the box! With no calibration or fine-tuning, even a five-year-old can quickly master this instrument! I love that it has a plastic shade that also focuses the light and you don't need slides or fancy extra accessories. From the box, assemble the base, insert and tighten the monitor with the lighting part, power the monitor, and off you go into a tiny world! Attentionβ also turn the focus adjustment knob next to the illumination. It's like a manual cine lens where you twist the knob a bit but you can fine tune the focus unlike normal photo lenses. I've never seen such detail from just my #2 pencils! The screenshot is not really fully enlarged and could even be enlarged by zooming out on the monitor. I was so shocked and amazed at the same time. And while I haven't tried the capture feature, you can snap photos and use the included wired remote to take pictures. And all for about $100?! Also, it comes with a 32GB memory card as a bonus. The form factor is the great thing about it. It's just heavy enough that it doesn't wobble since the base is solid aluminum and it's no more than 12 inches tall. So you can take it with you and just put it on a regular bookshelf or put it away without disassembling the device! such a microscope is specially designed for children and if you are afraid to buy something with a huge learning curve. It's very beginner friendly but has the ridiculous resolution of a professional microscope!β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
