Review on ๐Ÿ”Š Enhance Audio Quality with Amazon Basics 14-Gauge Speaker Wire Cable โ€“ 100 Feet of 99.9% Oxygen-Free Copper by Darryl Jennings

Really good quality

My house has always had problems with interference from the nearby radio tower. I bought surge protectors with RF filters and a subwoofer isolation transformer from Blue Jeans to eliminate the noise in my subwoofer. I wired the main tower and center speakers using a 2-wire connection (because they support it and have an impedance of 6 ohms). I connected them with older 14 gauge speaker wire and Dynex wire that I bought at Best Buy. I also have 4 gimbals (which can be either dipoles or 8 ohm bipoles) that have a pair of pins and they were all wired with different length wires (the longest is 40 feet going around the molding). my room). Well, my right rear surround speaker (closest to the radio tower) started interfering with the 7.1 audio tracks. I tried swapping the speakers and there was interference in the same place so I knew there was interference. I looked at the difference with 99.9% free O2 and CL2 cables. Although I wasn't planning on running it under my floor (which wouldn't be too much of a hassle) I figured it would be better to have a larger diameter white insulation (it's not too noticeable as it matches my white wall) . Pour). The cabling quality of this Revain brand is very good (like Mediabridge I'm sure). I decided that a 14 gauge gauge was right for my application and it turned out that this 14 gauge gauge was a larger diameter than my old wire (I use the 12 gauge setting on my wire stripper , because the 14 gauge will cut some strands). This proves that not all 14 gauges are created equal and you get more than you pay for with this Revain wire. I decided to simplify my network and connected this copper wire to a couple of terminals (because they are much better quality than the jumpers that came with the speakers). I used to use a two wire connection to improve the detail on my towers, but I really think the quality of this wire makes it unnecessary. The speakers all seem to have plenty of volume and there's no hiss (I think the quality and maybe the red and black wires twisted around each other helps with interference). The only other feature I haven't mentioned is that the outer shell has markings for each leg. So it's nice that you can easily identify each row of speakers.

Pros
  • CLEAR SOUND: 99.9% oxygen-free copper construction helps deliver high-quality, undistorted signals to and from audio equipment.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
