I like the concept of this switch. I use it to connect 4 computers to 2 monitors and it's great to be able to switch computers so easily. Hotkey switching is very convenient. I wish I had installed this a long time ago! I have a problem. The keyboard dies every few days. Turning it off fixes the problem, but it's a bit annoying. I actually used a USB extension cable to allow easy access to the connection, so I can just unplug it from the extension cable instead of plugging it into the computer (which is out of reach). This must be a known issue as the manual specifically addressed possible keyboard issues. The keyboard is intended to be plugged into a dedicated "Keyboard" USB port on the Switch to allow the Switch to track hotkeys. The manual says that if you have trouble with the keyboard, you can plug the keyboard into a different, regular (i.e. unattended) USB port. However, the hotkeys then no longer work. They offer a wired remote switch that you can use instead of hotkeys. In my case, I don't want another thing (and cord) on my desk, so I didn't want to use a wired switch. I just turn off my keyboard for a while when this happens. What I really like about this switch is how they made the cables. They have a special cable that branches to HDMI and USB sequentially. You connect them to your computer's HDMI and USB. The other end is HDMI only and connects to the switch. The good thing is that the number of cables is reduced because there is no separate USB cable coming from the computer. Cutting down cables is helpful because when you have 4 computers and 2 monitors, you have a lot of cables! It comes with a full set of HDMI cables, so you don't need to connect them separately. Overall I like it very much. Deducted 2 stars for keyboard issue.
