Review on Achim Darkening Temporary Pleated Shades Home Decor by Brandon Whiteman

My husband and I just renovated our bedroom. We wanted to replace our old room with blackout curtains on the windows. When I saw how expensive they were, I just couldn't justify paying over $40 for a good quality shade. I saw these shades and decided to try them. I know they are meant to be temporary but I have sheer curtains on my windows so no one can see them. They were so easy to install, just peel off the plastic strip covering the tape, place the lampshade and stick them on. You look like a crumpled shadow. They're thin vinyl, not paper, which I like, and they can be raised by pressing a button and pulling a string. To lower them, hold on to the string. Press the button and slowly thread the cord through your hand. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they don't darken the room like I thought, they filter out the light in between and darken the room. I would still buy them again. I don't know how long they will last as I just got them not long ago.
