Review on πŸ”© Bull Ring 1066: No Cut, No Drill Bed Mounts for RAM 2002-2020 - Corners Installation, Not a Rail Cap Mount (1 Pair)" by Dave Harris

They worked on my 05 Dodge Ram

I just installed them today so haven't had a chance to test them out yet. There have been some questions as to whether these Bull Ring bullets/weight attachments "in the box" would work with my '05 Dodge Ram 3500. The good news is that they fit perfectly as there is a hook in each of the 4 corners. truck body. They appear to be high quality cargo mounts and are easy to install. To install, you must completely remove one screw. Then insert the black backing into the oval hole on the side of the box. Then pull the silver hook to the open/extended position (it's spring loaded) and insert the shiny steel base plate into the oval hole in the box. The steel plate needs to be tilted to fit the oval. Once the steel pad is in place, replace the screw and gently tighten the cable tie. The steel plate grips the back of the sheet metal and secures the cable tie to the inside of the box. It's pretty solid when everything is in place. The zip ties have a small round/round hole where you can attach a strap hook. The hole looks big enough for a hook. I give these strings 4 stars. (1) They're pretty expensive for what they are and I needed two sets, and (2) once installed they are recessed into the side stake pockets meaning I have to take them off every time I want to put a set on racks on my pickup. This isn't a problem for many, but I carry things (firewood, landscaping materials, etc.) that work better on shelves several times a year. Eventually I had to scrape some of the lining out of one of the oval holes in the box, but the rest was fine with no cutting.

Pros
  • Durability Finish
Cons
  • Minor issues
