Review on Zep ZUFSLR128: Ultimate Stain Resistant Floor Sealer, 1 Gallon Bottle by Ann Coleman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My tropical wood laminate was dull and lifeless before the full treatment was applied.

I'm not sure how critical it can be to use the product before applying 4 thin coats of ZPEZU0812128 – Zep High Traffic Floor Finished but I followed the directions and wore first a light layer. It's pretty far. I'm still working from the first gallon on a project that's about 2,000 square feet. I'll probably have about 25% of the bottle left by the time I complete the project. It dries quickly, so after applying this sealer you can start finishing the floor almost immediately. In combination with the product mentioned above, a durable and extremely attractive polishing result is obtained. My tropical wood laminate was dull and lifeless before the full treatment. Once the last coat was dry, lights danced all over the finished result. Very attractive! A side note: Using the application mode of one coat of Sealer and four coats of High Traffic Floor Finish works well but will visibly show any residue and debris on the floor that will work into the final finish. I highly recommend mopping the floor thoroughly with a damp mop and once dry, thoroughly vacuuming any remaining materials such as grains of sand and (especially) hair. You will be surprised how much hair you will find on your floors and the remaining hair will be clearly noticeable in the end result. I think it's almost inevitable, but you should keep it to a minimum as much as possible. I love this system and will probably upgrade the trim again in about 6 months or so. I doubt I'll be stripping floors for this, rather I carefully remove all hair and debris (as above) and apply a coat or coats directly to what's there. I've read reviews that say this method gives a very nice look when repeated multiple times. I'll let you know if I have anything to add later.
