Review on Marmot Essential Lightweight Waterproof Gore Tex by Natalie Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice no logo on clothing

I love the tailored fit and length of this Marmot waterproof jacket. Note, however, that it has NO zippers as one ad claims, and it has no lining. Lightweight polyester with inner coating. Mine had a strong odor when opened, but is weathered. The cuffs are longer which keeps hands warm although there is no closure to prevent wind and water from entering through the cuff. Roomy enough to fit an inner jacket without adding bulk. I chose this groundhog because the ad above claims it uses the best DWR finish with no environmental impact. The label on the coat says it's only "Better" but it says it's PFOA FREE. Overall a very good coat.

Pros
  • Stay dry in downpours - this durable yet lightweight longline jacket is specially designed for heavy rain and sleet. It can also be worn as a cape over an insulated jacket on days when you need a little extra warmth.
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
