Kettle boils water quickly. There is an automatic switch on, which I like. There is enough space in the hole to pour water into the kettle. The spout works perfectly, does not drip. I love the look of the kettle and the ability to see the water boil. The glass seems thick. The kettle is quite durable. I like the grip, good grip. The base is separate from the kettle which is great, you don't have to deal with the cord hanging from the kettle. There is only one complaint, unfortunately the left light does not work from below. Only half of the kettle is illuminated. I'm disappointed with the light as it's a feature I'd like to see. This does not affect the function of the boiling water.
