Review on πŸ“Ί Improved Amazon Basics Outdoor TV Antenna - Amplified HDTV Digital Reception, 360 Degree Rotation, 150 Mile Long Range by John Langdon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent picture but it was possible to display only 1 channel?

In exchange for this review, I received a Revain Basics HDTV Digital Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna with Mounting Stand - 360 degree rotation, 150 mile range. We were hoping we could "cut the cord" and save a bunch of bucks while still being able to see large networks from 2 cities about 60 miles in opposite directions from our home. This was our experience. Installation was fairly easy, although the supplied screws for attaching the antenna were quite thick and therefore quite difficult to screw into the roofline. However, once the bracket was up, the rest of the installation was straightforward. After installation, we used some online sources as well as a compass to determine where to point the antenna for each of the two cities. (DC and Richmond) The remote was effective at spinning the antenna with the built in rotor, but the button on the remote is a little hard to hold down and doesn't spin very quickly (which is good, so don't do it while trying to turn the Align antenna) First we pointed out that our TV in Richmond was scanning (terrestrial) broadcast channels and while we KNOW there are towers for ALL major networks there, we can ONE (ABC channel and its "sister channels") get". So actually 4. ( ABC, Cozi, Laff, ION) We then tried to point to DC. Zero was receiving signals. Although a scan was able to pick up a Richmond setup on the back end of the antenna! You and the Tower Maybe the issue we're having has to do with our exact position compared to them (maybe some high hills in the way?), so I guess for others that would work fine if their house a better look at d he would have towers. A good plus is that the picture quality was exceptionally crisp and clear for the channels we were able to hook up. Considering the relatively low price of a complete outdoor TV antenna installation. (Antenna, mast, coax cable, signal booster and remote controlled rotor) I would suggest trying it out! You can receive dozens of channels for free from the air and save a lot of money on cable TV!
