The fit is good, but don't go too far with them

EDIT: After wearing them for just a few months, the stitching between the three sections came undone, reducing the usefulness of this product compared to just OEM kills do-it-yourself belts without repair. My wife certainly doesn't aggressively open the door of her TJ, and doesn't visit places where she would have to park on a slope to let the weight of the door pull the strap. Two stars for still working like a belt, albeit a long one. one. You should spice up the design of it if it can't stand up to several months of daily gentle use. Our 2000 TJ had some aftermarket straps that allowed the doors to open MUCH TOO TOO (120 degrees by my estimation). ). It seemed like a good option and so far they've worked great. A word of caution: these straps will allow you to swing the door open quite a bit if you choose to stand it up that way. The straps we had before did this and it caused damage to the door itself. The weight of the door (mostly when you are on a slope) swinging open and having such a long stroke to swing open freely showed, that the metal to which the bracket (and the bracket itself) that held the strap was attached was bent. -- something we didn't really pay attention to until we installed them. I guess I only need a few half doors to fix this! My advice is when you install them don't let them go over 90 degrees max so you don't mind risking your doors.
