This straightener looks good and has very nice plates, but the plates don't hold the heat. I have thick curly hair and I recently cut it. Tried it for the first time and was a bit disappointed. I tried this straightener on my daughter's hair, she also has thick hair and I couldn't get a good tight wave with this straightener even after splitting it into smaller pieces. This straightener is best for people with thin hair. But for the price you get what you pay for.
