Great for accidents!
While routing the ethernet cable I accidentally cut more than I should have and ended up missing a foot of wire by 30cm. I ended up running a new wire, grabbing a few of those and then just making a new wire to increase the spacing. No loss of performance compared to devices without plugs connected. Using self-terminating Cat6e and PoE devices. I will buy again if needed.
