I'll start with the good - the camera worked and had decent resolution, although the image was very pink in the infrared. Now for the bad. First, there was a lot of unnecessary assembly, so some parts had to be torn off the "protective label". But since there is no pull tab to help you remove the label, you will almost scratch the plastic to remove the "protective label", defeating the purpose of the "protective" label. The bolt and nuts are very small and difficult to insert while holding the parts together. There's no reason why it couldn't be delivered to you already assembled. Also, the camera doesn't fit well in the mount. The IR parts don't quite line up with the holes in the bracket. You will either need to bend the IR components where they attach to the mount or you will need to machine the Dremel mount to make the holes larger. I decided to bend the components as it didn't take long to get it working. However, this is not an ideal solution. Also, the camera part isn't really well supported when all together. There is still a lot of play on one axis. Finally, there is little information about how to operate the camera. Does the IR only turn on in low light or always on? Is there an "adjustable resistor" that controls whether the IR lights turn on? What are the setup tips? One of the IR lights always seemed on and the other always off. I have no idea why and there is no documentation telling you what to expect or how they work. They only give you assembly instructions. So basically you figure everything out for yourself except turn on the camera in Raspbian and run a test command to display an image or video. And these instructions are only here on the product description page. In general, there just isn't enough good information out there for you. Can't say I'm thrilled with the overall kit, the fit and finish, or particularly the lack of good information on how to use the camera. The whole experience was like "removing" a used part that didn't quite fit, that I didn't have clear instructions for and wasn't sure if it would work properly. I think I would be inclined to spend a few bucks more and look for a better product with better instructions, the savings aren't enough to justify the problems.
