If you can't fill the tank, make sure this charcoal canister isn't clogged with debris or, worse, hasn't ruptured and hasn't filled the vapor lines with charcoal pellets. When you remove the canister you will know if the pellets will fall out. If this is the case you will need to remove the canister and bracket leaving the lines open. Pressurize the tank from the fill area with compressed air and a rag, you will see pellets flying out of the large steam line. Then disconnect the solenoid and smaller vapor line on the intake manifold. Use compressed air and a rubber-tipped air nozzle to push the pellets out of the smaller line. I had so many of these that I had to blow air from tank to manifold and manifold to tank more than 20 times to clear all the pellets. Tap the purge solenoid valve upside down to dislodge the pellets.
