My house is over 100 years old. They have worked great replacing the original doorknobs around the house. When installing, note that the knob is difficult to back off from the knob 1/4 to 1/2 turn, and then reinstall the setscrew. If the grip is loose, do the opposite. I've seen some negative reviews about pen issues. After dealing with this type of pens for several years, I can say that in most cases this is user error. If you don't know how to install these grips watch the youtube video, they are very easy to use but you also need to know a little bit about how to make sure they are installed correctly. Highly recommend these doorknobs!
