Review on πŸ”ͺ Sculpey Tools Clay Blades - Flexible, Wavy, and Rigid Blade Set | Polymer Oven-Bake Clay Tool for All Skill Levels and Crafts by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They have 3 different knives and they work great

When I got 3 (and unpacked) I had no problems - my knife holder needed a new one blade, but this one is more useful than it was. I use different brands of clay and different methods. It should be noted that 2 cutting knives are different (and you can sure see that the other one has a completely different cut). I mainly used the straight ones with a slight curve due to the stronger blade. It was only recently that I saw the difference. If I cut or use a cutter and want to reshape (for example) I can bend the flex into a curve - this can be a big help and get my earrings back to their original shape (and getting them straight and looking can be a challenge too), this is a big help. Sometimes I just want to split/cut out part of the top (don't go deep to decorate). Impressed with the design, going for a "clay slab" which I've conditioned - and don't want to increase the thickness - thin does a good job. I love I have all 3 types! I'm new to polymer clay but it's so much fun and I've seen videos where zi can be sharpened (after a few months of constant use this will probably be necessary - and not that hard to do). I bought a few (of many tools), which I think have been worth it. I didn't really know what I needed besides clay.

Pros
  • Each stainless steel blade has a set of easy to snap handles that attach to the blade
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Sharp blades - poor handles
