Overall this charger is excellent. I like the look (mine is white). I agree with those who say the light is too bright. I put a piece of dark plastic on top so it's still partially visible. My issue is with the base of the stand itself. I didn't realize how much I use "Hey Siri" (for you Android folks, it's a way to verbally call Siri without even touching your phone). The problem occurs because the stand is flat at the bottom, where the phone rests. It makes sense from an aesthetic point of view, BUT I can only use the microphone or speakers (iPhone 8 Plus) when the phone is in landscape mode. The speakers are muted and the mic doesn't pick up sound well, making "Hey Siri" almost useless. Turning sideways is of course the solution, but many apps don't even have portrait mode, so I switch back. and further constantly. I've also tried putting small objects like small "feet" under the phone to make room for the sound hitting the microphone. The next step might be to make those legs permanent with some Sugru. but many apps don't even have portrait mode, so I keep switching back and forth. I also tried placing small objects under the phone, e.g. B. small "feet". to make room for sound entering the microphone.
