Review on Hefty Ultra Strong Blackout Tall Kitchen Trash πŸ—‘οΈ Bags with Clean Burst Scent - 13 Gallon, 80 Count by Will Lockhart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

DO NOT BUY - read 1 star reviews before buying - heavily revised - NOT 13 gallons

This is indeed a 1 star review but I gave it 5 stars to warn people to refer to all new 1 star reviews by hefty redesigned bags. I've been buying Hefty 13 gallon garbage bags for years. Suddenly the bags are smaller than the old garbage bags I bought a few months ago. They're not long enough to stack on the rim of my trash can like old 13-gallon sacks from Hefti. After being full of trash, they fall into the trash can and rip almost every time I take them out of the trash can. With real Hefty 13 gallon bags this has never been a problem. Hefty has definitely prioritized benefit over quality with the "new and improved" version of this bag. They made the plastic thinner and significantly reduced the bag's size, but still referred to it as a 13-gallon bag. I checked the box and the previous bags were 23.75 inches wide and 27 inches high. These "new and improved" 13-gallon hefty bags are only 24-7/8 inches tall. They cut off a few inches hoping no one will notice. The new pockets are 0.9 mil thick. UPDATE JANUARY 16, 2021 - Can't wait to finish these awful bags. Heavy definitely cheated me on this purchase. They are too small for my 13 gallon trash can and they keep ripping when I take them out. They also end up in the trash because they're a few inches shorter than regular 13-gallon bags. Because of their size, we use twice as many trash bags as we used to.
